Solid is one of the states of matter characterized by structural rigidity and resistance changes of shape or volume.

What is a Liquid?
A liquid is defined as a form of matter with a definite volume but no fixed shape. It is made up of tiny vibrating particles of matter, such as atoms and molecules.
Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. If you are new to the idea of mass, it is the amount of stuff in an object.
In a solid, the particles of matter are tightly packed together.
Solids have a definite,
Solids molecules have the least amount of energy of all 3 states of matter.
Solids cannot be compressed.
In a liquid, particles of matter are loosely packed and are free to move past one another
Liquids are not compressible but do have a definite volume
Liquid's molecules have less energy to move around than gas molecules do but more energy than solids.
