The basics...
Mon, Wed-Fri for 50 minutes
Lessons will follow the
same basic format everyday
Lessons will be modeled the week before on
Wednesday
We will practice the lessons together on

Get Fit!
Get Fits provide students with the opportunity to practice and master
number fluency skills
at their own pace
Get Fits will always be based on
individual efforts
Warm up
Warm ups prepare students for the mini-lesson of the day by either
previewing
that day's content or
activating
prior knowledge
Game time
1. Students will
silently
walk into the room, and you will either hand them their folder, or you assign students to pass out folders

2. The entire class will then have
2 minutes
to complete their Get Fit sheet.

3. At the end of 2 minutes, students will
grade
their own Get Fit and record their score.

The purpose:
The procedure:
Get Fit Responsibilities
1.
Track
Get Fit scores for each individual student

2.
Recognize
when a student receives two 100%s in a row, and make sure they move on to the next Get Fit

3.
Double check
student self-grading to ensure there is no cheating

4.
Prepare
each student’s individual Get Fit folder. Each folder will have the student’s previous Get Fit, as well as his/her Get Fit of the day

2. Students work to earn as many stars as possible in order to prep for their Monday Overtime.
-Every student that earns a 100% on their Overtime earns a point for their team.
-Every student who meets their monthly goal earns a Tuesday incentive

whether their class has met the daily objective.

Students have a chance to practice their math skills through activities, projects and games. This will give students an opportunity to also work collaboratively.

Complete your I-Plan electronically after every program day
The purpose:
1. Provides a space for you to track information about your team and for you to ask APL for support
2. Summarizes team and campus exit ticket data
