Progression
-
the act of progressing; forward or onward movement
What if one day you were told you couldn't do or say what you wanted? What if you were treated differently because of your gender? What if you didn't have the same opportunities as others? What if you couldn't speak your mind? What if ? Imagine living your life knowing you're never going to be worth as much because of some thing that is out of your control, like your gender.
"I BELIEVE WE ARE ALL BORN AS EQUALS,
BECAUSE WE ARE ALL BORN WITH THE GIFT OF

THOUGHT." - QUEEN RANIA

Travel Through The Exquisite Land of Jordan
Basic Facts:
Jordan Clothing:
The popular male clothing consists of tunic, pants and an elaborate over garment with a belt or waist sash. Normally, the head is covered either by a scarf, turban or tarbush.
A long rectangular slit or decorative panel seen in the front is typical to Jordanian costumes. Shirsh is the prominent traditional costume in the north of Jordan. This lengthy attire comes with long, tight sleeves and a decorated neckline and embroidered sides.
Jordan Foods:
Mansaf is the national dish consisting of lamb cooked in dry yogurt. Mansaf marks celebrations and special events.
Halloumi is a traditional cheese made from goat or sheep milk, often served in a sandwich of pita-style bread.
Rice, flat breads, legumes, olives, lamb or chicken, yogurt, vegetables and fruits form the basis for most meals.
Jordan Social Life:
Men and women do not mix freely in public situations. Jordanians live in extended families. Due to the relaxation of social segregation of sexes, educated younger women are increasingly seen in mosques and social gatherings. The prominent aspects of Jordan’s culture include the music of Jordan along with popular sports like football and basketball.
So What Is The Problem ?
Discrimination against women
With a society where
men are more
valuable than
women, women
become oppressed
and don't
recieve proper
education,
job opportunities,
and they don't speak
their minds.
We all deserve the right
to be treated equal no
matter what race,
ethnicity, age, or gender
you are.
Queen Rania is one of
the head advocates for
this organization.
One of the worst things you
can go through is to be
discriminated against or
knowing you'll never be as
good as others because
of what you are.
What can you do to help ?

Time for us to be all EQUAL
Together we are more powerful
With the help of the AWO
Jordan is striving into the
modern world and having
more equality for all of its'
women.
