Lincoln (his oldest son) -He wanted to go to war, but his father would not allow him -His relationship was rougher with his father than his younger brothers Real Story: Movie: -She believed in Lincoln and many decisions he made as a political leader -At the time of the Civil War, Mary Todd was in a difficult position because she had family members who were serving for the Confederates Movie: Real Story: -The only one of the three children to survive to adulthood -Robert, later said that his father was never home and always away involved in politics Relationship with his family Willie and Tad Lincoln (his younger sons) Movie: Important part of American History Successfully passed the 13th amendment -Had a nice relationship with his younger children

-The two younger boys were great friends Real Story: -Lincoln was a very kind and considerate parent

-He had a positive attitude toward his family Important part of American History Lincoln's Legacy -Lincoln is known as one of the most amazing presidents to ever serve the United States

-By freeing slaves and ending the war, Lincoln changed the lives of many American Citizens

-Lincoln helped the county come together as one
