Antiviral Drugs
Introduction
Viruses are small (20 to 500 nanometers) obligate intracellular parasites. Viruses can only reproduce by infecting living cells. Host cells provide molecular building blocks such as nucleotides, amino acids, source of chemical energy, the cellular protein-synthesizing machinery and the controlled intracellular environment needed for viral replication.
