With hands-on, interactive exhibits, this free and open to the public event provides a collaborative environment for the learners of all ages to explore their immediate and long-term education and career goals as they engage with local education initiatives.
Each full day of the conference concludes with a
thought-provoking presentation from education visionaries. Gather around with the rest of SXSWedu to hear what they have to say.
Last year's Makerspace has expanded into an interactive Playground celebrating creative pursuits in maker, STEM, gaming, arts and more with displays, talks and hands on learning opportunities.
Hosted at a local, downtown Austin theater, eduFILM features a series of newly released documentary and narrative films that illuminate pressing issues in education and are followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.
The bulk of the conference program is made up of over 250 sessions ranging from panel discussions and future15 talks to workshops and core conversations. More than 700 speakers will be presenting.
Build your community at one of the many meet ups, mixers and lounges that run throughout SXSWedu. With topic-focused events and conversation-inducing settings, you will be sure to find your home at SXSWedu.
Some of the best connections at SXSWedu are made outside the daytime programming. Each night features a different social engagement at one of Austin's legendary downtown venues with live music, games and a relaxing atmosphere that is an essential ingredient to building lasting relationships.
Now in it's third year, LAUNCHedu showcases some of the most innovative early-stage education startups in a fast-paced competition that unfolds in front of a judging panel of practitioners, entrepreneurs, and investors.
