Transcript of Love
Hazels relationship to her parents are really strong. Before she meet Augustus she spent her days at home with her parents all the time. When Hazel and her mom discussed that Agustus would like to take her to Amsterdam her mom said; "We can't accept that from a virtual stranger"
Hazel answered; "Hes not a stranger. He's easily my second best friend.
Mom; "Behind Kaitlyn?"
Hazel; "Behind you" (pg. 91)

A symbol is an object that stands for something, and in this book there are symbols that represent the love Augustus and Hazel share.
The frase ' Okay' is a symbol of Augustus and Hazels love.
17-year old virgin
Okay is a word commonly used by the main characters Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters, it symbolizes that their love will last forever. They've got it from Isaac s and Monica s "always" which was a promise of never leaving each other and ALWAYS staying together.
Hazel and Augustus love expending fast and soon they have get really deep into their relationship. They both lose their virginity.
Even thought Hazel didn't SHOW her relation to her mother, she really had deep feelings to her.
Love as a Theme
Love presents itself as a theme in the novel through the way different characters treat each other.
In the book "The fault in our stars, you will discover different types of love. Family love,
friend love and
Partner love ( Hazel and Augustus)
Another example of love between Hazel and her parents is when she one day, realized that they should keep away from her because she was a "grenade" and that she would "explode" at anytime, and then she went to her room to keep away from them, but they followed her and her father said:
"You're not a grenade, not to us. Thinking about you dying makes sad, Hazel, but you're not grenade. You are amazing. You can't know, sweetie, because you've never had a baby become a brilliant young reader with a side interest in horrible television shows, but the joy you bring us is so much greater than the sadness we feel about your illness ." (pg. 103)
