What is insomnia?
Insomnia is a type of sleeping disorder which there is an inability to fall asleep or stay asleep for very long.
Insomnia is commonly separated into three types..
1.Transient insomnia-occurs when symptoms lasts from a few days to some weeks.
2.Acute insomnia -also called short-term insomnia.Symptoms persist for several weeks.
3.Chronic insomnia-this type last for at least a couple of mounths and sometimes years.
Some of the symptoms of insomnia include
-Trouble falling asleep
-Irritability or anxiety
-Feeling tired or falling asleep during the day
-Waking up at night
-Not feeling refreshed when waking up
-Unable to go back to sleep
-Poor concentration and focus
-Worrying about sleeping

How Can I Be Sure If I Have Insomnia?
-Consult your doctor
-Start asleep journal
There are many ways to get treatments for insomnia,but first the reason for the individual's insomnia must be known.It can be medical or emotional.
Acute insomnia may not require treatment.Mild insomnia can be cured by practicing good sleep habits.
If insomnia continues your health care provider may suggest behavioral therapy,it can help change behaviors that worsen insomnia.
