Transcript of Copy of Animal Cell vs. A Car

Animal Cell VS. A Car Cell Membrane A cell's membrane is like the body of a car because it stops bad things from getting in and good things from getting out and allowing good things to come in as well. Nucleus The nucleus is like the whole engine because the engine holds many different parts of the car and it controls the car as well. Vacuole The vacuole of a cell is like the gas tank because the gas tank holds fuel for the car to run. Mitochondrion The mitochondrion is like the battery of a car because the battery produces energy for a car. Ribosomes The ribosomes are like the fuel tank as well because
it provides fuel like the ribosomes provide protein. vs ANIMAL CELL Cytoplasm The cytoplasm is like the frame of the car because the frame holds everything inside the car as the cytoplasm holds all the organelles inside the cell. Lysosome A lysosome is like a fuel injector where a lysosome breaks down materials a fuel injector breaks down a larger flow of fuel into a fine mist just prior to entering the combustion chamber. Golgi Body A golgi body is like the exhaust valve in a car because the exhaust valve stores the exhaust until the piston opens and it is pushed out. Endoplasmic Reticulum The endoplasmic reticulum ( E.R.) is like the fuel lines of a car because it is the tube that fuel travels to get to the engine while the E.R. is the tube for materials moving through the cell.
