Summary: Until Harry is eleven he believes he is an ordinary boy, until a man named Hargid tells him he is a wizard. Harry goes to school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he makes friends with Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The three spend their year protect the Philosopher's Stone that is being kept safe at the school, through many small quests and challenges they have along the way.

Thesis: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is a direct adaptation of the novel by J.K. Rowling through the use of filming techniques director Columbus has used and how he has captured the characters and their personalities.
