What evidence is there that waste management exists?
Total Muncipal Solid Waste Generation, 2007: 254 Million Tons (before recycling)
Total Muncipal Solid Waste Generation, 2007: 254 Million Tons (before recycling)
In, Oregon there are buses that run on oil from fast food
What laws and regulations are there to stop this??
What laws are being made to stop so much waste?!
It is illegal in Colorado to throw away electronic items.
In Argentina, scientists are strapping plastic bags onto the backs of cows to capture their gas
In California, you can lease a hydro car which runs purely on water so no toxic emissions will pollute the air
Facts:
-
-In 2009, Americans produced enough trash to circle the Earth 24 times.
-Americans throw away 25,000,000 plastic bottle every hour
-We generate 21.5 million tons of food waste each year. If we composted that food, it would reduce that same amount of green house gas as taking 2 million cars off the road.
Regulating air admission from stationary and mobile sources.
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Permits are designed to help maintain the safe treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous wastes.
Tree Hugger
Every day the average person throws away 4.7 pounds of trash. The trash is put in landfills. The gas that comes off the trash is purified and turned into liquid natural gas which can be used to heat your house as propane would. It puts 50% less toxic emissions than burning coal.
You guessed it!......Animal Farts!!
