Hardware & Software
You are required to spend the lesson elaborating on the homework task by researching further hardware and software requirements to work with Digital Graphics.

Begin to construct Prezi presentations for task one

Computer hardware is the collection of physical elements that constitute a computer system. Computer physical parts or components of a computer such as monitor, mouse, keyboard and graphics card.
A raster graphics image, or bitmap, is a dot matrix data structure representing a generally rectangular grid of pixels. A raster graphics image is better to see when small but gets distorted when zooming in.
vector is a picture that as been edited and consist of straight and caved line so the know matter how much you starch it the picture it will nt go out of shape.
software is program that installed inside a system that cant be touched by anyone, software, is any set of machine-readable instructions that directs a computer's processor to perform specific operations.
a output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment used to communicate such as a computer which converts the electronically generated information into human-readable form. for example a printer, monitor, mobile phone, speaker and projector
a input device is any type of computer hardware equipment to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or other appliance. Examples of input devices are keyboards, mouse, scanners, digital cameras and joysticks.
File Format
format is the layout of a file in terms of how the data within the file is organized. A program that uses the data in a file must be able to recognize and possibly access data within the file. For example, the Web browser is able to display a file in the HTML file so that it appears as a Web page, but it cannot display a file in a designed for Microsoft's Excel program.
Examples Of File Formats
Word documents - doc
Web text pages - htm or html
Web page images - gif and jpg
Adobe Postcript files - ps
Adobe Acrobat files - pdf
Executable programs - exe
Multimedia files - mp3 and others
TIF (Tagged Image File) is a file for storing images, popular among graphic artists
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) PNG was created as an improved, non-patented replacement for Graphics Interchange Format, it is most used lossless image compression format on the internet.
GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) IS A file used for graphics presented on website, and are best for images that contain simple shapes.
is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography and for images that are small like images from the website
Digital cameras
A Digital cameras is a input device because as you can upload your pictures in to a computer thought a memory card sometimes or thought the camera its self and the allows to to do what ever you feel like for example upload photos online or save photos on you computer
A keyboard is a typewriter device, which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys, it is a input device for computers because you can remove and up it in to other computers it is also a input device because it shout you what ever you on the computer.
A speaker is a system the allows you to hear what ever you want and can be used for different thing like music, videos and it can be plugged in to different system like phones, laptops, TV's and computers
a projector is a output device because acts like a monitor but on a bigger view and usually connected to a laptop or computer
M1 Compare the limitations of different hardware and software packages used in graphics work

price: £362.40

Simplex or Duplex: 25 pages per minute,Black & white:25 pages per minute
,A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, Business Card, Post card, USB 3.0 WIFI, 3 year Manufacturer’s,
Canon Canoscan Lide 210 Scanner

price: £59.99

Desktop Colour Flatbed Scanner, Hi-Speed USB, approx. 1.6 Kg, A4 / Letter [216 x 297 mm, 4800x4800dpi resolution with 48-bit colour, 300dpi A4 scan in 10 seconds

in my option i think the better scan is ScanSnap 1X500 because simple, fast and powerful Advanced “GI” processor and take document scanning to a whole new level of time – savings and convenience you can also Scan wirelessly to your PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices i also this is better because if you was in a graphics company it would be better if printing anything with detail. the limitations that Canon has to the Fujitsu is that it can only print in A4 when the other printer pints in A4, A5 and many others.
LG E2210PM 22" LED DVI Monitor

In my option i think the LG 23ET83V 23" is a better because you are able to do any things on it and and is easy to use because and clear and i like the touchscreen feature is good too because you could you it in graphics company to design and do other things. The limitation of the LG E2210PM screen it 22 when the othe LG 23ET83V screen is 23 i make it a bit better.
I think this systems are bother good but I thinking the windows is good for gamers because most games are made for window’s and the OS X is good for making and watching movies and go to make music with and to edit photos. the limitations of os x is that its not user friendly and it a bit complex
windows 8 slightly highter than those of windows 7 minimum requirements are 1Ghz CUP and 1 GB of ram
The most basic system requiremnts of OS X mountain Lion are 2 GB of RAM, 8GB of available storage and OS X 10.6.8
