LOVE
TRAGEDY
ROMEO & jULIET
A tale where A long feud between the
Montague and Capulet families disrupts
the city of Verona and causes tragic results
for Romeo and Juliet who fall in love, but
cannot be together. A secret marriage force
the young star-crossed lovers to grow up
quickly for Juliet is to be wed to another. Juliet
takes a sleeping potion that makes her appear
to be dead for 42 hours -- in this time Romeo
is to be told that she is still alive, however he
was not so he illegally purchased a poison so
that he could be with Juliet in death. He goes to
her tomb and takes the poison. When Juliet awakes she sees this and kills herself with a dagger.
Both stories involve young main characters - lovers who are being kept apart by outside forces such as friends and family. In the end, each character tries to be like or act like their love interest. Without knowing the true intent of the other first.
For example, Danny becomes a more clean cut guy to impress clean cut Sandy. In the meantime, Sandy is becoming the more dangerous girl for Danny who belongs to a 'gang'.
Juliet kills herself after Romeo kills himself because he thought Juliet was dead before she actually was.
So, both stories portray characters who will do anything for the love of the other.
Taylor Swift's song and the Shakespeare play, "Romeo and Juliet" While the two don't end the same, there are certainly a lot of references to the play. Symbols like the balcony, for instance, and ball gowns. Everyone knows of the famous balcony scene in the play. The ball gowns are a reference to Romeo and Juliet meeting at a masked ball.
"daddy said stay away from Juliet"~~ an obvious reference to the Montegues and the Capulets being at odds with each other.
To me, the main linguistic device
that Shakespeare uses to contrast
the two emotions is seen in what Romeo
compares the women to.  Rosaline is
compared to the moon, which is pale
and cold.  Juliet is compared to the sun
which is warm and bright and which drives
the moon away.
The lyrics to "Lover Will Find a Way" by The Lion King sound track, is related to Romeo and Juliet because of the forbidden love that is shown in the song. The lyrics "There's a perfect world, Shining in your eyes , And if, only they could feel it too, The happiness I feel with you, They'd know, Love will find a way, Anywhere we go" are the perfect words that describe when Juliet was explaining her love in Act 3 Scene 5.
The song "Marry Me" by Train reminds me of Act 2, Scene 5: Juliet impatiently awaits the return of the Nurse with news from Romeo. . . . The Nurse teases Juliet by finding all kinds of ways to not deliver the joyful news, but finally tells her that she is to go Friar Laurence's cell to be married to Romeo.
Act 2, Scene 6: Just before the wedding, Friar Laurence advises Romeo to love moderately. . . . Romeo and Juliet tell each other how much they love one another, and Friar Laurence leads them off to be married. Act 2, Scene 5
A short clip
Romeo and Juliet are two of the most famous lovers in history, but some people doubt that their historic love lives up to its reputation. Romeo starts the play infatuated with Rosaline, a gorgeous girl with no interest in him. His true love at first sight, encounter with Juliet seems like it could be just another case of puppy love. The two lovers come from warring families, but their love overcomes their families' hatred.

Their whirlwind romance, however, ends in tragedy when each thinks the other is dead and chooses to commit suicide rather than live alone.
The quote, "Then I defy you, stars!" From Act 5, scene 1,
fell under the category tragedy because Romeo says this when he receives the news that Juliet is dead. He feels that fate (the stars) have struck him the cruelest possible blow, and he is going to defy the stars by committing suicide and joining Juliet in death.
Romeo and Juliet is considered a tragedy because due to their own choices due to their interpretations of events. e.g. Juliet fakes death so that she can be with Romeo. Romeo kills himself since he thinks that Juliet is really dead. Discovering the death of Romeo, Juliet decides to end her life.
Like the doomed teenagers Romeo and Juliet, Peeta and Katniss decide not to fight each other to see who will win the Games, but instead to deny the Gamemakers any winner at all by downing some poisonous berries in a double suicide attempt.

Titanic VS Romeo & Juliet
Initials R+J; Romeo + Juliet/Rose + Jack
Forbidden and socially unacceptable love
Third party unrequited love interest
Both couples are separated, by fate or circumstances beyond their control
Romeo and Jack both sacrifice themselves because of their love for Juliet and Rose
Love and hate are usually thought of as opposites, but in Romeo and Juliet, love and hate are two sides of the same coin, as two children from different families (the Capulets and the Montagues) turn their hatred of each other into an insatiable passion. When their parents discover Romeo and Juliet dead in each others' arms, they vow to end the feud between their two families. At last, love triumphs over hatred
Romeo and Juliet is the story of the relationship between the son and daughter of two families, which are enemies, the Montagues and the Capulets. Their families are against their plan to marry, and the story ends in the death of both lovers. In West Side Story, instead of families, there are two rival gangs in New York City, the Sharks and the Jets. One gang is "American" and the other gang is Puerto Rican. A young man from one gang falls in love with a young woman whose brother is in the other gang. These young lovers, too, die at the end of the story.
TYBALT:
"This, by his voice, should be a Montague. Fetch me my rapier, boy. What dares the slaveCome hither, cover'd with an antic face,To fleer and scorn at our solemnity? Now, by the stock and honour of my kin,To strike him dead, I hold it not a sin."
Act 1, Scene 5 When Tybalt discovers that Romeo has crashed the Capulet's party, his first response is to start a sword fight. Tybalt, who is easily provoked, hates the Montagues so much that he thinks that any insult by them should be punished by death.
Modern Text;

TYBALT
I can tell by his voice that this man is a Montague. (to his PAGE) Get me my sword, boy.—What, does this peasant dare to come here with his face covered by a mask to sneer at and scorn our celebration? Now, by the honor of our family, I do not consider it a crime to kill him.
In romeo and Juliet, Meructio,
a close friend, died for Romeo in act 3 scene 1
because he would do anything for his best friend
Romeo. His other intention was for Romeo to not
look like a coward, so he fought Tybalt for him.
In the Chrysalids, there was a close bond between
the Chrysalids (the nine or was it seven of
the people that could telepathically communicate)
The all agreed to be there for one another and never
put the other in danger.

Ariel has just turned sixteen, like Juliet's "coming of age."
They both love someone they are forbidden of seeing.
They both sneak around to see there one true love
The Prince & Romeo both marry their true love
Both get separated from their love by obstacles such as potions and people
Sebastian, just like Mercutio, is trying to look out for their friend by telling them they shouldn't date someone who is not like them
They both curse that nothing good will come to them
Both the nurse and Flounder are bestfriends to the main female lead
They do what ever it takes to make their friend ecstatic
They lie to many people to protect the love of the main characters
Ursula and Tybolt both are the vilans
Both are the antagonists
Both try to kill the protagonist
End up dead
King Triton and the Capulet parents both don't want their child to marry someone different
Hate people that are different from them
Think they are all knowing
What is love ?
Love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions.
"Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does. Love is a battle, love is a war; love is a growing up."
Wikipedia Defenition: For the loss of life
So many questions, so little time.
What is the meaning of friendship?
A relationship between friends
"A friend is someone who will always have your back so you never fall"

It's when you trust the other with your life and when you would do anything for each other.
In a perfect world
One we've never known
We would never need to face the world alone
They can have the world
We'll create our own
I may not be brave or strong or smart
But somewhere in my secret heart
I know
Love will find a way
Anywhere I go
I'm home
If you are there beside me
Like dark turning into day
Some how we'll come through
Now that I've found you
Love will find a way
I was so afraid
Now I realize
Love is never wrong
And so it never dies
There's a perfect world
Shining in your eyes
And if only they could feel it too
The happiness I feel with you
They'd know
Love will find a way
Anywhere we go
We're home
If we are there together
Like dark turning into day
Somehow we'll come through
Now that I've found you
Love will find a way
I know love will find a way
Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now, we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way

Marry me
Today and every day
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe

Say you will
Say you will

Together can never be close enough for me
To feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful

Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally showed her my way

Marry me
Today and every day
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe

Say you will
Say you will

Promise me you'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to sing to you
When all the music dies

And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe

Say you will
Say you will
Friendship¿
