Earths Rotation By: Danielle, and Jocelyn Rotation Effects of Rotation As the Earth rotates from west to east, the sun appears to rise in the east in the morning. The sun then appears to cross the sky and set in the west. The spinning of Earth on its axis is called rotation. Each complete rotation takes one day. The most observable effects of Earths rotation on its axis are day and night.
