Transcript of Skater Subculture

LANGUAGE OF A SKATER The tricks VALUES Skaters typically value things that matter to them in their everyday skate lives. For example, most skaters value fun, praise, compliments, comfortable clothing, warm weather, a good place to skate (such as a city or typical skate park), and their friendships with other fellow skaters. Skaters these days are all into their technology. The most used piece of technology in the skater world today would be a high definition video camera or a high quality camera. Skaters find enjoyment in making fun skate videos of themselves and friends doing tricks and adding in some background music. Others will take pictures of each other doing cool tricks to post and show their friends. TECHNOLOGY SKATERS By, Stephanie Samuelson So...what's a skater? A skater can most accurately be defined as someone, usually a male, that skateboards in their free time and often makes time for skating as it is a part of their life. - Backside
