Why I should be in Student Council!!!
Transcript of Why I should be in Student Council!!!
What I feel I would bring to council is creativity, responsibility, humor, organization, and well basically everything I stand for. Except tacos, I don't think I have enough money to bring those to council. Sorry. In the past, I have gone on mission trips and taken care of children, taught lessons in my school, and I have taught at the Gateway Districts with less than 30 minutes of notice ahead of time. Those are just a few times where I have showed my leadership skills. The role I feel I would play in student council is the role I'm needed in. If council were to need me to be a leader, I would step up and be a leader. If council needs a hard worker to do what they're told, I would follow my instructions. If council were to need an artistic person to make posters, I would make posters. I would do what someone needed me to do. I want to be a part of student council because it's what I love doing, and what I'm good at. It makes me a better person and allows me skills I would not have otherwise. I want to be a part of council because I feel I bring unique ideas to council and I like being a part of something that can do good for my school. I benefit from council as much as I believe council benefits from me. What I hope to gain from council is my leadership skills improved, my ability to work with and tolerate others improved, and people coming to me when they have a problem in the school that they would like fixed so that I can bring it to council and see what we could do about it. I feel the goals of council should be how to improve the school for the student body and the staff. I think council should try to make the school and activities (such as dances) more enjoyable. After all, who wants to go to dances when you feel like it should be for your grandma?(unless your grandma is supergrammie) I have good grades, so academics would never be a problem. I do have the ability to balance after school activities, schoolwork, and social life so I would always be available when council needed me. I do set an example for my younger siblings, so I know how to be respectful and be a role model for others, which makes me a good representative. I have a big family so I know how to work well with others, how to give instructions (my sisters say that makes me bossy, I say otherwise!), and how to take instructions from others. I do have an artistic ability, so i can make posters and decorations for any event that is going to happen. I am also trained (years of school fundraisers) in sales. I know exactly how to sell items to raise money for student council. So that's fantastic posters, decorations, and money you can gain by picking me to be on student council, and who doesn't want that?!?!?!?! I've always played soccer, so I know how to be a team player! I know when it's others turn to make the "goal" and when it's my turn to score. So that is all I have to present to you. Thank you for listening and not, you know, falling asleep. I hope you will take into consideration everything I said. Bye!
