Thesis Paragraph
In the movie being made today about the Stonewall riots titled “
Stonewall
”, there are many fallacies. A white cisgender (not transgender or another gender identity) man was used as the main character when in reality, it was a group of black and hispanic transgender women. The movie is an affront on LGBT history and culture due to its erasure of powerful role models. I will demonstrate this message though the biases within pop culture, the portrayal of groups over time, and how media affects our views of different historical events.
