Darfur. the mass extermination of human beings who was affected by genocide? historical background of darfur and its people where did the atrocities occur? when did the genocide happen? did anyone outside of the country help? who helped? Genocide 400,000 civilians killed displaced 2.5 million people from their homes about the size of Texas home to racially mixed muslim tribes african farmers and others are being systematically displaced and murdered at the hands of the Janjaweed, a government-supported militia recruited from local Arab tribes. Daju people daju people the Daju peoples live on both sides of the Chad-Sudan border.
one group of the Daju only in the Sudan are normally listed by the province, Dar Fur (also written as Darfur). the genocide in Darfur started in 2003 More than 200,000 have died in the conflict, most from war-related disease and malnutrition. More than 2 million have been forced from their homes, and over 200,000 Sudanese are refugees in neighboring Chad. Chad itself is on the brink of collapse as a result of the spillover from Darfur. And the conflict continues. it started in Sudan. in 2003 Sudanese army has been involved in abducting women and children to be sex slaves and domestic staff for troops. Victims have been rounded up during joint attacks on villages by the Arabic-speaking Janjaweed and the Sudanese Armed Forces Most of the abductees are women and girls, but the kidnappers are now targeting men and boys for forced agricultural labour. The abducted women and girls, are raped and forced to marry their captors as well as carry out household chores and sometimes cultivate crops children forced to become domestic workers. "They were treating me and the other boys very badly, they kept telling us that we are not human beings and we are here to serve them a woman said she was kidnapped from her camp and her captors "used her as their wives during the night, and as their slave during the day." the men they abducted were used to look after livestock china sent weapons american helped kill people. 107 people killed I pledge:
