-It is ok to try new ideas even if they may seem slightly outlandish and too much power can corrupt.
-ESPN is a good example of a source of media that is aware of their power and uses it to influence its audience.
-ESPN has denied air time to teams and conferences just because they don’t meet the rules from the network granting it absolute power over the games it broadcasts.
- By doing this they are in a way deciding which teams are popular and almost telling people who to like so by becoming the biggest sports network in the U.S. they are granted incredible power.
-ESPN possesses a monopoly-like ownership of sports media and has impacted society to the point where they have been a great influence in whether a certain team or athlete is loved or hated on many occasions.
What we learned?

-Founded by a father and his son.
-First broadcasted in 1979
-A large percentage of ESPN is owned by The Walt Disney Company
-Has risen to the top of sports media in the United States and holds 171 Emmy Awards for their success.
-It is not only available all over the U.S. but now ESPN has expanded to a couple hundred countries around the world.
Isaiah 43:19 “Behold I am doing a new thing; it springs forth, do you not perceive it?...”
(p.s. The rest of the bible verse is “…I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” but I didn’t think it’s necessary. You can include it if you’d like)
