Happy Birthday Hitler Sources Birthday Tradition Hitler was born on April 20, 1889. During his reign, the Fuhrer's birthday in Nazi Germany was a huge deal. From 1933 to 1945, it was a major holiday in Nazi Germany. Nazi's loved celebration and pageantry, and each year on the Fuhrer's birthday a huge celebration was held. Every year on this very special day, Hitler's right-hand man, Goebbels, gave a speech in the Fuhrer's honor. Throughout the entire country, people were expected to hold a huge celebration. The leaders of each city and town were put in charge of planning the event, and every town had its own special way of doing so. Some held parades, while others had huge bonfires, each grander then the next. Some people also had their own ways of celebrating at their own homes, such as hanging the Nazi flag or eating a special meal.
50th Birthday Spectacular On April 20, 1939, one of Hitler's biggest birthday celebratiohns occurred. It was the Fuhrer's 50th birthday, and all of Nazi Germany was ready for a huge celebration. All the usual traditions were upheld, but in honor of this historic date the people of Nazi also held a giant parade. Almost everyone attened, and it was the greatest military celebration in the history of Nazi Germany.
