A linking verb is a verb that connects a subject of the verb to additional information about the subject.
What is a Verb?
A verb is a word to describe a action.

Examples: 1) The farmer the crop.
2) The dog my homework.

* Action verbs are verbs that specifically describe what the subject of the sentence is doing.
