Columbia Exchange
which is the transfer of plants and animals between eastern and western hemispheres.

renaissance
helped pave a way for new ideas in Europe like the idea of
humanism
and
reformation
.

IDEAS
An example is that one of the reasons for sea travel had to do with ideas because European rulers wanted to spread their religious beliefs.
Another process of spreading ideas is
westernization
because it is the process of spreading Europe's ideas and beliefs.
This had a major impact on the worlds cultures and environment because without it Americas would not have grains, fruit, or livestock.
Also with the exchange, came
The Great Dying
which was a deadly disease that killed 50% of the native population.
Thinkers applied the scientific thoughts to the study of human affairs and brought a school of thought called
enlightenment
.
Made advances in...
Astronomy
Medicine
Biology & etc.
Without the exchange the Americas would not have..
Livestock such as
sheep
& pigs
They also would not have grains such as..
Wheat
Or fruit such as..
Bananas
& citrus fruit
