*Make a great 1st impression

*Should be written with a target job in mind

*What is your core message?

*Employers spend 5-25 seconds

*Make it relevant & to the point
Font & Formatting- font, bold, bullets
Length- Keep to one page
Do not include HS information
Do not write in first person
Be consistent - bullets, font, dates
Use past/present tense correctly
Your Resume: The most important document you'll own
Don't use a template
Include a cover letter
References on separate page
