Animal or plant species that may become extinct if not protected
To differentiate between the words 'extinct' and endangered'
To identify some endangered species and see why they are endangered
To learn how we can protect our wildlife
They are all
Extinct means that not one individual of that animal or plant species is still alive
Why are some species endangered?
What are the threats for their survival in the wild?
Why are many species not in any danger?
Ban the trade in wildlife products e.g. horns, tusks, fur etc around the world
Educate people about the importance of wildlife
Organizations such as WWF (Worldwide Fund for Nature) raise money for protecting wildlife
