The genre of Found is Science Fiction. In the book, there are time traveling, time warping, and future technology. Angela DuPre time warped when she was escaping from the evil clutches of an unknown person. She went into a totally different time. Jonah and the thirty-five others were time traveling when they were in the cave. There were a taser and an elucidator in the hands of the children when they were in the cave. A taser shoots a laser light. An elucidator is a gun with a screen that controls videos or codes.
Time travel is moving from one point in time to another point of time at a rate faster than the speed of light. Time warping is any distortion of the space-time continuum.
Sci-Fi books have one or more of the following:
• a setting in a different time

Book one of the Missing series
Author of the Shadow Children series, Double Identity, Running Out of Time, and more!
Jonah has known that he is adopted, but he never knew how he was adopted. It starts to come back at him when he starts receiving strange letters saying “You are one of the missing” and “Beware! They’re coming back to get you”. His best friend, Chip is not adopted. Then, Chip gets the strange letters and he finds out that he is also adopted, but his parents never told him.
Jonah wants to investigate more about his unknown adoption. He goes to an FBI agent, James Reardon to talk about his confidential adoption papers. They find out nothing about Jonah’s adoption because James Reardon is keeping it secret for an unknown reason. At the meeting, Jonah encountered a janitor telling him to look inside a file folder for information. Jonah tells Katherine to get the information while Jonah distracts his parents and James Reardon. They find a witness list and survivors list that has Jonah’s and Chip’s name.
To find out more, you have to read Found to find out.
The conflict of Found is Jonah and thirty five other kids do not know what happened to them when they were adopted. They don’t know their parents and everything is confidential.
In my opinion Found is a great book for all science fiction lovers. Haddix puts a great twist of time travel and secrets together to create the best book possible. Now that I finished reading book one of the Missing series, I hope that I will be able to read the remaining books. This book has hooked me in to read to the final end. Overall, Haddix has created a great book, Found.
