Transcript of Exam Anxiety

Exam Anxiety Stress is your body’s way of reacting any kind of requirement. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. It can get so bad that you feel like the test paper in front of you is written in some different language you don’t recognize. Exam stress in students is usually caused by imaginary fears and often the lack of confidence. In stressful situations, such as before and during exam, the body releases a hormone called adrenaline. This adrenaline is actually a good thing. It helps prepare you to deal effectively with successful situations, ensuring that you are alert and ready. In addition there are many mental factors that can play a role in examination stress. According to the University Of Alabama Center for Teaching and Learning, evolution plays a major role in the cause of exam anxiety. Physical symptoms of test anxiety are sweating, shaking, rapid heartbeat, dry mouth, fainting and etc. Emotional symptoms of test anxiety can include depression, low self-esteem, anger and a feeling of hopelessness. Emotional symptoms of exam anxiety are depression, anger, introversion.
The results of this problem are;

1. Bad exam results

2.Continuous sadness

3.Arguement with family members

4. Restriction of computer games What can we do to solve this problem? You should start planning for the examination well before the exams begin. You should always seek help if there are things you don’t understand, especially if you are stressing out. You have to relieve your stress by exercise, aerobics, walking, swimming, dancing once or twice during the week. You should not do last minute revision; stop all studies the night preceding the examination. To sum up, many students have the same problems and these solutions can avoid students away from exam anxiety. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING
