ENGINEER OF NANOTECNOLOGY Nanotechnology is the study, design, creation, synthesis, manipulation and application of materials, devices and systems through the control function of matter at the nano scale, and exploitation of phenomena and properties of matter at the nano scale. The winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, Richard Feynman, was the first reference to the possibilities of nanoscience and nanotechnology in the famous speech he gave at Caltech (California Institute of Technology) the fifteen most promising applications of nanotechnology are: Production and energy conversion.

Water treatment and remediation.
Diagnosis and screening of diseases.
Drug delivery systems.
Food processing.
Remediation of air pollution.
Construction.
Health monitoring.
Detection and control of pests.
Control of malnutrition in the poorest countries.
