Continuum of Use
1. No Use:
Not using your phone or you don't have a phone
Your trying to figure out how to use your phone
You use or misuse your phone once in awhile. There are no patterns.

4. Regular Use:
5. Frequent Use (Binging):
A pattern is involved. For example, you use or misuse your phone once a every two hours.
Your using your phone a lot in a short period of time.
This is when using your phone is starting to cause problems. Short or long term.
This is when you feel a loss of control over using or not using his/her phone.
The 3 C's of Addiction
these problems are.....
Relationship/ Social Problems
•you feel awkward when you are around with other people without your phone
•you start to drift away from your family and friends
•if you use your phone too much you'll end up with a bill to pay for your texts and calls you have made
•you feel sleepy during the day because you use your phone during the night.
• you have this compulsion to use your phone instead of working on your school work or homefun
cell phone is still being used regardless of negative consequences
you have a sense that you must use your phone even though you know the outcomes are negative consequences
