Water Aid
We
will need
your
help...
If this is going to change
Did you know...
Roughly 1 in 10 people
worldwide
don't have access to clean water and
2.5 billion
people don't have a toilet.
This can change with your help.
What
you
can do...
You could give a one off donation or you can donate
£2
,
£5
or
£10
a month.
By doing this you will improve life expectancy, development, standards of living and the
happiness
of many lives!
In India half of the population, 626 million people, do not have any access to a toilet. Unlike in many Western Countries where almost every single person has access to a toilet and clean water.
Together, we can help make a difference.
Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world with
64%
of its population living below the poverty line and only
48%
of Mali's population has access to safe water.
Water Aid in Mali
Water Aid is a non-profit organization, founded in 1981 in order to change lives for the
better
.
It aims to give
everyone
access to clean water, good sanitation and education about hygiene.
Here is an example of one of the many places that
your
donations have helped...
And that's not all; in Zambia Water Aid has been able to provide
42,600
people with access to safe drinking water.
But that's not all...
As a company
you
could work together to raise awareness and money for
WaterAid
by holding a disco with the money going towards
WaterAid
, a sponsored car wash, a street party or
you
as a person could take on a challenge, like running in a marathon for
WaterAid
. The ideas are
endless
; so get out there and make it happen!
Thank you from
But world wide they have managed to provide clean water to
19.2 million
people; but don't think that this is enough, there is still
more
work to be done!
In most schools pupils would be
late
as they had to fetch water for the school, and only when it
rained
would they be able to have a supply of stored water.
Because of the
lack
of governmental support, in desperate times they would have to go to a
water seller
.
Water Aid was able to help
5,000
people to gain access to safe sanitation in 2004 alone, and overall was able to provide
19,000
people with access to safe drinking water.
On top of that, they helped the local people to set up places selling spare parts so that they can be
sustainable
and repair their own water and sanitation facilities.
But Water Aid was there to help...
