as the President who got us into the Iraq War The Three Key Events of GW Bush's first term 2001-2004:
*Sept. 11, 2001- attack on twin towers.
* Oct. 7, 2001- Bush declares
war on Afghanistan.
*March 19, 2003- Bush announces invasion of Iraq. George W. Bush 43rd President of the United States The Three Key Events of second term 2005-2008:
*Sept. 29, 2005 John Roberts, conservative Republican named chief justice
*Jan. 11, 2007 Bush announces troop surge in Iraq
*Oct 3, 2008 Bush announces $700 billion bailout of financial system to prevent another Great Depression President Bush went to Yale in 1964 and became president of Delta Kappa Epsilon George was the eldest of five children: Jeb, Neil, Dorothy, and Marvin. He had another sister, Robin, who died of leukemia. Bush was born in New Haven, Connecticut
on July 6, 1946 George joined the Texas Air National Guard
as a pilot in 1968. It was significant that
he did not have to go to Vietnam like a lot
of boys his age. George Bush was Governor of Texas from 1995-2000. President George Bush and Vice-President Cheney were
called, "Neo-Cons" , and part
