Expect warm to hot summers, depending on the latitude. A *biome* refers to any major regional biological community. There are eight major biomes... The prairies of the Central Lowlands, the High Plains of the United States and Canada, and the California grasslands The steppes from Ukraine through Russia and Mongolia The veld in the Republic of South Africa The pampas of Argentina and Uruguay Let's talk about... The various species of grasses include purple needlegrass, blue grama, buffalo grass, and galleta. Growth and decay of these deeply-rooted grasses leaves the soil deep, dark, and nutrient-rich with fertile upper layers. The middle latitudes and lush, rolling terrain of these grasslands make them the perfect vacation spots. Aaron Mayer Chaz Dennis and So get out there! Need to get away for a week or two?
