Chapter 11 Vocabulary
Israel
The Isralite's kingdom, divided about 939 B.C.E. into two kingdoms called Judah and Israel
Israelite
An early name for the Jewish people
Judaism
The first religion to worship to orship one God, developed among the ancient Isralites
Jerusalem
The holiest city of the Jews, capital of the ancient kingdoms of Israel and then Judah
King David
The second king of the United Kingdom of Israel
and Judah, he established Jerusalem as a holy city and the capital of Israel
