Nucleus vs. Albus Dumbledore
Lysosome vs. Filsch
Ribosomes vs. Professors
The function of the Lysosome is to digestion & removal wastes from the cell
Filsch is the caretaker of Hogwarts which means he cleans up any messes cause by the students and gets rid of the waste, just like the lysosomes

Plasma Membrane vs. Hogwarts Grounds
Rough ER vs. House Elves
Smooth ER vs. Hogwarts Corridors
Golgi apparatus vs. Secret Hogwarts Passageways
Mitochondria vs. Sorting Hat
Vacuole vs. Hagrid
Cytoplasm vs. Magic
The primary function of the plasma membrane is to protect the cell from its surroundings. Composed of a phospholipid bilayer with embedded proteins, the plasma membrane is selectively permeable to ions and organic molecules and regulates the movement of substances in and out of cells.
Hogwarts magical boundaries protect the school from outside threats much like the plasma membrane. It only allows students and guests with permission from the headmaster to enter, it's very selective like the plasma membrane.
The nucleus is an organelle found in the center of a cell that serves to control the cell's function. It contains the DNA and other components necessary to regulate gene expression.
Dumbledore is the headmaster at Hogwarts, meaning he is in charge of everything that happens within the school, just like how the nucleus is in charge of everything that happens within the cell
Cytoplasm is present within the cell membrane of all cell types and contains all organelles and cell parts.
Magic is in all witches and wizards just like how cytoplasm is in all cells
Ribosomes are a cell structure that makes protein. Protein is needed for many cell functions such as repairing damage or directing chemical processes.
The Professors direct students learning and repair/ fix the "damage" if they are doing something wrong
Rough ER (RER) is involved in some protein production, protein folding, quality control and dispatch. It is called ‘rough’ because it is studded with ribosomes
Smooth E R (SER)is a series of interconnected membranes and channels. It is associated with the production and metabolism of fats and steroid hormones. It is ‘smooth’ because it is not studded with ribosomes and is associated with smooth slippery fats.
House Elves produce the food and is in charge of the quality and upkeep of things, much like the rough ER and they use magic to apparate (teleport) haphazardly around the castle
The Corridors at Hogwarts allows students and faculty can travels to different parts of the schools through a series of hallways/ "channels" just like SER
The main job of mitochondria is to perform cellular respiration. This means it takes in nutrients from the cell, breaks it down, and turns it into energy.
The Sorting Hat takes the students thoughts and experiences to break down there personality then place them in their house that they will do best in
Secret Hogwarts Passageways
It's a complex of vesicles and folded membranes within the cytoplasm of most eukaryotic cells, involved in secretion and intracellular transport.
The Secret Passageways of Hogwarts is like the Golgi apparatus because it's a complex series of tunnels used by the students and Filsch to get around/ out of the castle quickly and quietly
It is often the largest organelle in the cell. It is surrounded by a membrane and functions to hold materials and wastes. It also functions to maintain the proper pressure within the plant cells to provide structure and support for the growing plant.
Hagrid is the largest person at Hogwarts and he is the keeper of the keys and grounds at Hogwarts so the, like the vacuoles, maintains the grounds by making sure everything is in order, he also has a habit of keeping things that would be considered a waste
