Jennifer Maldanado, Tisdale's girlfriend:
Tisdale was a fun guy, but he was selfish and self-centered, and spent money on himself rather than on his unborn child.“He was just tired of being harassed by law enforcement,” according to a deputy’s account of her statements.

Charmaine Tisdale, mother:
“I have no idea what transpired today,” she told investigators, trying to understand what may have motivated her son — drugs, mental illness, alienation with law enforcement. “This is not my son.”

We have individually and collectively cried all we can the past three days. I want today to be a celebration of Gary's life, and what better way than by looking at the picture before you and realizing that is the way he approached life every day, with a big smile.

Details provided by St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office police reports.
New Details:
Raymond Gleason, 40, a convicted felon from Dania Beach, said Tisdale gave him a "handful" of crack cocaine moments before seeing Tisdale gun down Sgt. Morales, according to a police transcript released by prosecutors in July.

Gleason, who is being held in the St. Lucie County jail for charges of
burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft, claims Tisdale met him near the 7-Eleven off Edwards Road the morning of the shooting. Gleason said he rode a bike to meet Tisdale to pick up the drugs.
Prosecutors say they're evaluating the value of Gleason's statement.
"...when I left I pulled off on the bicycle, I saw a cop car come around the corner, I heard 'pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.'"
