Transcript of Vision of the Nashville Church Plant

The Nashville
Church Plant Biblical Perspective of sharing Good News They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. Acts 2:42 We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 1 Thessalonians 2:8 All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... Matthew 28:18 Jesus said, "Peace be with you!
As the Father has sent me, so now I am sending you." John 20:21 Sunday Morning Gathering 40 % of americans will be open to coming Missional Community 20-40 people

The Sunday morning gathering becomes the primary entrance point for people to get plugged in to the life of the church. (click to next slide) And that is a good thing! However, only 40% of Americans will consider that invitation. (click to next slide) So how do we connect with the 60%?
(click to next slide) When you create a missional community, you create a group of people that go out to serve in the city! This creates a new entrance point to the life of Jesus and the church. In order to multiply Missional Communities, you need an engine that multiplies missional leaders. That engine is called a huddle. (click to next slide) When you have multiplied missional leaders, you can then multiply missional communities to create multiple entrance points into the life of Jesus and the church. This is the clearest glimpse of the vision of the church plant in Nashville:
A church to connect disconnected people to the life-changing love of Jesus through multiple entrance points of Worship (UP), Community (IN) and Service to the city (OUT).
(click to next slide) To reach the 60% we will create mobile groups of people called missional communities. Click through the next few slides to see what make a missional community a missional community. September What are some of Pastor Dave's current responsibilities? We need everyone to be praying regularly & telling the stories of what God is doing through the church plant! Many should pray about a financial commitment (over and above their tithe to their home congregation) and many can be a smiliing face for the first few months of the public worship service. Few will leave their home congregation to call the church plant their home and prioritize their lives to fully invest in helping launch the church plant.
