Monsiuer Arronax rides a war ship, which sinks.
He then meets Captian Nemo and tours the Nautilus.
Monsieur Aronnax, Consiel, Ned, Captain Nemo, and the rest of the crew sail across the pacific. Along the way, M. Aronnax goes on his first excursion in the depths.

The Nautilus crashes into a rock and Captain Nemo is never seen again.

There is no resolution to the conflict because captain Nemo is never seen again.
