Ballet If you join a dance school the most common sort of dance you will learn are;

Freestyle Your dancing is leveled with Grades and more levels within them. The grades are; pre-preparotory,
primary,
grade one,
grade 2,
grade 3,
grade 4,
grade 5,
grade 6,
grade 7,
grade 8 and
intermediate. The inner grades are Pass, Merit, Honours, Destinction. Most words for Ballet are in French. Here are a few Ballet moves in French;
Arabesque
Jeté
Pirouette
Plié
Sauté
There are also a variety of shapes you have to make with your arms. This is a ballet shoe. This is a pointe shoe. When you buy a ballet shoe it has a thin sole so it is flexible and easy to pointe with. When you buy a pointe shoe it has a hard sole so you have to 'break them in' which means wear them a lot until they begin to go flexible. If you want to be a ballerina then you have to practise a lot and have a big commitment.
