For an object moving at a steady speed in a straight line, the distance it travels and the time it takes are related as:
A straight diagonal line means an object is travelling at constant speed. The steeper the slope of the graph, the greater the speed it represents. Boys should be able to calculate the gradient of a distance-time graph.
