governor general of the province which caused
him stress.

Leola- He saw her as a failure and disappointment
when she attempted to kill
herself and when she succeeded. This led to his overall health

The Inevitable 5th, the keeper of his conscience and the Keeper of the Stone
Dunny: Was always there to listen to Boy,
kept the stone Boy threw at Mary Dempster.
All these characters played a role in Boy's tragic death and it wasn't just Boy killing himself.
"It is the stone you put in the snowball you threw at Mrs. Dempster." Pg. 254
