DISADVANTAGES OF MEDIA

FUTURE OF MEDIA
In conclusion I've observed how media is found in our every day lives. From music to sports and the inter net and beyond it's clearly evident that media plays an important role in our every day lives. We might not be aware of how much interaction we have with the media but after sitting down and thinking about my daily rituals it has become obvious on how much of a role media plays in my life.
The media industry has become a fast paced industry and clearly is doing all it can to stay on top and reach its potential consumers.

CONCLUSION
Recently, new technologies and changes in consumption habits have influenced how the industry creates, distributes and transforms content into profit. As the industry continues to innovate in content, formats and business models, it must also balance its economic imperative and social role. The Council intends to develop an infographic that highlights 10 characteristics of future media, as well as an animated e-book on what the future of media means for world leaders.

1) skewed or biased coverage.
2)selective coverage.
3)"planted" stories.
4)emotionally-charged coverage especially by electronic media in their attempt to be the first & exclusive.
5)media barons/house have their own compulsions or leanings which are usually reflected in their coverage. hence imp. to read "between the lines"
6)invasion of privacy in many cases.
arousing public sentiment & emotion adversely or shaping public opinion on trivial matters rather than weighty issues.
7)the focus on looks & gender & glamor especially in visual media.
8)Some people are getting addicted to the internet and thus causing problems with their interactions of friends and loved ones.
