April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month A report of child abuse is made every TEN seconds An average of 800,000 victims of abuse
& neglect each year "...the white chalk outline of a

the thousands of children lost to violence..." Organizations provide
awareness, support & outreach. IT IS NOT ENOUGH... ...It wasn't enough to protect Erin Maxwell She was 11 years old when she died in 2008 as a result of ongoing abuse and neglect. MAny keep silent about child abuse...
...so silent, we need to be jolted into conciousness. Fact: 1 in 4 girls will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday and 1 in 6 boys. Percent of abuse in

abuser broken bones bruises failure to thrive brain damage

as a result of child abuse. parents & schools teach "stranger danger" children learn "say no",
"get away",
"tell someone". TAKE ACTION - BREAK THE CYCLE familiarize yourself with signs of abuse....
