Transcript of Final Story Project
After I graduated from Valencia with my A.S. and A.A. degree, I decided to move to Boston.
There, I started working as a Social Media Associate at the Loews Hotels and Resorts in the city of Boston, while finishing my bachelor's at UMASS Boston. I was responsible for delivering monthly Social Media metrics and feedback to the hotel, manage day-to-day social media activities, oversee the Loews Hotels’ Wish You Were Here blog, etc.
After a year, it just became too much to handle with school as our social media base was growing profoundly, so I began to look for internships.
In my New Student Experience class, we were to interview someone that was in our desirable field. At the time, I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted to do or be. But I chose my Marketing Director at Chick-fil-A, Mindi Onderick, for my interview. I really took notice of her and Chick-fil-A's involvement in the community. I remember her saying she "enjoyed letting the community get to know us and ourselves getting to know the community."
From my interview with Mindi, it really made me consider my pathways into the Marketing field.
My purpose is to, in any shape of form, to be involved in the community. As long as I am not sitting in an office all day, then I'm happy. I knew I wanted to be a contributing hand to something and better my community. I also want to be there for my family and provide for them, without spending all of my hours at work, just to do so.
My values in the workplace is to be in a supportive atmosphere and everyone is comfortable with the management. I also care for that I am, and everyone else is, placed at position in the company where my best abilities are being used so that my own achievements can be seen through my efforts.

Deliberative- "You know that the world is an unpredictable place." "you are a fairly serious person who approaches life with a certain reserve. For example, you like to plan ahead so as to anticipate what might go wrong."

Career Pathway (cont.)
>The summer before my senior year at UMASS, I started an internship at Enterprise Rent-a-Car as a Sales Management Intern. I learned about sales/marketing, customer service, business management, and administrative skills, more than I ever thought I would. I was then asked to stay for another quarter as an employee, and of course I accepted.
>After graduation, I went back to Loews as an Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing. I didn't feel I was at my highest potential in Boston.
>Moved back to Florida, I immediately found a job at Disney as Account Services Global Recruitment Marketing Associate.
>After 2 years, I was given the opportunity to move up in the company as Marketing and Event Planner Coordinator at the Disney's Boardwalk Inn

Monitor customer reviews on our website to find our always changing strengths and weaknesses of the hotel
Run special events such as gourmet weekends, or offering incentives such as one night’s extra accommodation when booking for a period, to help to attract more guests

-For my first couple semesters, I had no idea what I wanted to do or to be and I honestly thought I was wasting my time

-I'm now back in Orlando, Florida working at Disney's Boardwalk Inn as Marketing and Event Coordinator
