A lot of information shared is misinformation and people don't bother to find out if what they read is true.
People lose face-to-face communication, taking away necessary skills needed for future jobs and socializing. Most often leading to social isolation
Cyber bullying is easier for kids to do, causing many to be bullied from behind a computer screen.

You can stay in touch with distant friends or family members. Adults often rekindle old friendships from college or high school.

Nearly 50% of American adults use social media sites, up from 26% in 2008.
