definition of power: possession of controlling influence power is used for good and bad because it can be used to influence good behaviors or bad behaviors 1. the president of the united states- has power over the people of the united states 2. teachers in school- has power over the students in school and their classes 3. the police- have power over citisens in town or the county 4. military oficers- has power over everbody of a lower rank and NCM's 5. government officials- have power over the seat in which they hold an officer in the armed forces may abuse his/her power by doing something that they feel they can do in their position of authority this would affect the victim by lowering their self esteem and making they feel like they cant defend themselves
