The government budget (2012) is €10.69 billion ($14.89 billion)
Currency is euros (€) $1.00 is about €0.78 Many people remain in their hometown creating close extended families.
 Family obligations are a priority
 Parents are closely involved in the education and career options of their children
Each family member has certain duties and responsibilities that keep their society in place
A national dish is judd mat gaardebounen – smoked pork served in a cream-based sauce with potato and beans.
