A Virtual Reality Simulation of a Flight Deck Model on a US Navy Aircraft Carrier,
Project lead for upgrading and improving an existing joint unmanned combat aircraft vehicle (J-UCAS) with take-off and landing animations for NAVAIR at Lakehurst, NJ. A flight 3-D model was created, textured and applied with lighting shaders along with take-off and landing animations for the J-UCAS during day or night operations.

Development of a Virtual Reality Simulation of the Flooding Characteristics for the Cramer Hill Neighborhood in the City of Camden,
Project lead for developing a virtual storm water simulation capable of determining the flooding characteristics of Von Neida Park. Organized a team of students to collect survey data and reference material from a 50 block project site. Designed and implemented an algorithm to simulate the amount of runoff across a section of the city, created/managed the design of 3-D model assets and textures and integrated all components inside a 3D Virtual Reality CAVE system.

NASA Stennis Space Center Intelligent Valves Integrated Systems Health Management, Modeling and Simulation,
Responsible for creating intelligent valve 3D model assets and textures for a VR simulation of the E1 Rocket Engineer Test Stand at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. Created valve visualizations based upon sensor data for pressure, and valve state.

Global Water Technologies is introducing a patented new technology for "pipes" to address this urgent problem. An innovative sensor + software solution that has been used across Europe will now allow U.S. cities to measure pressure, flow and noise conditions in underground pipes and find the problems before water mains break.
Global Water Technologies has partnered with the Buried Asset Management Institute (BAMI-I) to develop good "policy" and seek a pilot project location for this new technology. The company is also working with Peerless Pump and the Construction Engineering Management Technology program at Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) to promote a "living laboratory" where such sustainable solutions can be developed and deployed.

I am a Research Associate for the Electrical & Computer Engineering department at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.

My primary responsibility is managing the Virtual Reality Lab, projects, and students. I also maintaining the CAVE® virtual reality environment and investigate/research new technologies that may benefit the lab.

As the lab lead, I have an active role in the design and implementation of every project. I train and utilize undergraduate and graduate students to implement lab projects in the area of Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality.

As part of a new research laboratory, our projects cover many subjects:

I obtained a M.S. in Engineering with a specialization in Electrical Engineering from Rowan in 2009 and a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Rowan in 2007.

My primary source of knowledge has been experimentation and self-learning. I began eight years ago with tools such as Autodesk Maya and 3D Studio Max in the hope to create video game cut scenes. I kept with it and was able to learn the basics of modeling, texturing, rendering and animation.

However, as new projects came into the lab there were new challenges. When I began my graduate studies, I moved from utilizing pre-made software packages to Virtual Reality and real-time development. I quickly learned how to utilize OpenGL, GLSL shaders, and real-time Python scripting inside the WorldViz Vizard VR Toolkit. My current interests are in 3D Game Engine design and implementation and my goal over the next few years will be to create a custom CAVE compatible engine to bring in some next-gen graphics using OpenGL 4.0+.

I was a three-time recipient of the NASA Graduate Student Research Program award in 2007, 2008 and 2009. As part of my graduate thesis work I designed and developed VR models of NASA-Stennis Space Center rocket-engine test-stands to support NASA's efforts in Integrated Systems Health Management.

I also had a brief appearance on the television for the show Physics of the Impossible for an episode regarding a holodeck.
