WHAT IS CHEMICAL ENGINEERING?
Is responsible for the design, maintenance, evaluation, optimization, simulation, planning, construction and operation of all types of elements in the process industry
HISTORY
During the 1850s, the German physicist Rudolf Clausius
began to apply the principles developed by Carnot to the
chemical systems in the atomic at the molecular
scale, achieving the mathematical demonstration
of phase transition in a monocomponent system,
known as the Relation Of Clausius-Clapeyron
Chemical engineering was basically an extension of mechanical engineering
applied to solve the problems of manufacture of chemical substances and materials,
which was the traditional task of industrial chemistry.
