Nelson Mandela
Father and Mother
Father: Henry Mdadla Mandela, principal counsellor to the King of the Thembu People. He died when Nelson was 12 years old. Nelson inherited his obstinate sence of justince and honor
Who is he?
Rolihlahla Mandela was born into the Madiba clan in the village of Mvezo.

He was a leader and political activist
in the struggle for racial equiality in
South Africa.

He served as President of South Africa and President of the African National Congress (ANC) from 1991-1997

He fought for the freedom and equality for African People
Mother: Nongaphi Nosekeni Fanny.
Nelson grew up with two sisters
He grew up hearing stories of his ancestors
during the wars, that he dreamed also of
making his own contribution to the freedom
struggle of his people.
He had influences from the traditions of the Thembu people and recieved education from a Christian school
It can be said that the environment kind of influence him.
Although he was in jail for 27 years for promoting a
strike to fight for the right of black men and eliminate the aparheit (separate the live between blacn and white in a society) it didn´t stop him from being and important activist and men.
