Continuity As a rule, anything that distracts from clearly communicating is worthy of elimination. While you guide your audience through a sequence of events you must maintain consistency of people, plot, objects, places and events. Can you think of any examples from television or film when continuity mistakes were made? Are continuity mistakes ever made on purpose? Continuity errors can even happen in a galaxy far far away.
