Transcript of Environmental pollution is the biggest menace to the human r

Usually when we hear about pollution almost 4 types come to mind but there are actually around up to 10 different types of pollution and not all of them necessarily harm our environment only.
• Air pollution
• Land pollution
• Water pollution
• Noise pollution
• Radioactive pollution
• Thermal pollution
• Light pollution
• Visual pollution
• Personal pollutio
In our opinion the most important and harmful ones are air, land, water and noise pollution and I think everyone else in this room can agree.
is the contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere. Air can be polluted by man or nature Dust storms, Bacteria and gases of volcanic eruptions are examples of natural’s sources of pollutants. Gases released from the automobile and the chimneys are the example of manmade pollutants.
Environmental pollution is the biggest menace to the human race on this planet today. It means adding impurity to the environment. The environment consists of earth, water, air and animals. If we pollute them, then the existence of man and nature will be hampered.
Pollution is basically the process or act of introducing or exposing our environment to harmful substances. Like everything else in life the types of pollution comes in different ranks from the least harmful to the most harmful… Of course people may have different opinions and ways of looking at it according to the ranking or harmfulness.
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies such as rivers, oceans, lakes, and groundwater caused by foreign particle, organic, inorganic or biological impurities. This can be harmful to plants and organisms which live in these water bodies. The major water pollutants are Sewerage system, industrial effluents, agriculture, mining and construction.
Air pollution
is the degradation of the Earth's surface caused by a misuse of resources and improper disposal of waste. Land pollution is responsible for damage done to natural habitat of animals, deforestation and damage done to natural resources, and the general ugly-ing up of our communities Some pollutants are litter found on the side of the road, Illegal dumping in natural habitats, radiation and oil spills
refers to undesirable levels of noise cause by human activity that disrupts the standard of living in the affected area. It also reduces the efficiency of the human being. Noise pollutions come from traffic, airports, railroads, manufacturing plants, construction, concerts or such events.
Now that we’ve explained
how the main types of pollution harm our environment briefly. We have agreed that the type of pollution most harmful is Air pollution due to its brutal effects like harming the human health like affecting cardiac and vascular impairments. Air pollution can cause short and long term effects. Also air pollution affects plants, water bodies and animals
The short term damages to air pollution can cause irritation of the eyes, nose and throat; it can lead to upper respiratory infections like bronchitis and asthma attacks. Long term health effects lead to chronic respiratory disease and lung cancer, in addition to heart disease and damage to the nervous system, liver and kidneys.
Air pollution affects the whole earth ecosystem. Global warming, caused by carbon dioxide building up in the atmosphere, traps heat in the earth's atmosphere, which can cause dramatic climate changes that shift the delicate balance of ecosystems around the world.
